Last Days
An Out-Pouring of God's Spirit

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,
I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: (Acts 2:17)

Look around. Do you see it? It is all around us. Christians are coming out of the woodwork! Everywhere you go, you can find a Christian these days. It is amazing. Even a trip to Walmart will often find a cashier who is a Christian. It is not hard to spot one of us. And online -- look at all the (true) Christian web sites. And these Christian sites are tied to others in some way.

No longer is it just the shiny shoed, knee slapping, wallet tapping 'minister' on TV. We now have many real ministers on television and  on the radio. We have famous personalities stepping up to let it be known that they are one of us. There  are also more Christians entering into the field of science as well. And believe it or not, we are once again seeing some true Christians in politics! I am just telling it like I see it -- and 'some' is better than none.

There is Good to be Seen

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 5:20 - 21)

It really is true. The more wickedness we are seeing in our nation today, the more good we are seeing as well. Look at 9/11. What did people publically do when that catastrophe happened? Did they turn to Buddha? How about the Muslim god? Did they seek out a wiccan? No, they prayed to the real and living God, the Creator. And did we hear of people converting to Mormonism up in those towers before they died? To Islam? No, we only heard of people calling on Jesus Christ.

When school shootings take place and a teacher breaks out into prayer, where is the ACLU then? They do not dare enter into things at such a time, because they know full well that Christians are at their strongest in times of tragedy. They know that Christians would come together in great numbers and bury the ACLU in the media, shutting them right down!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Our nation is in tragedy. America is in deep tragedy with all of the sin abounding. And God's children are rising to the occasion. Yes, we sure are! We are seeing God's grace on America every time Christians stand up for righteousness, as so many of our founding fathers did. We are carrying God's Word to the people. We are educating ourselves and each other. We are becoming aware of what is going on in our country. We are asking God's forgiveness for where we slothed off and allowed this nation to get so bad. And God is going to heal our land. We have hope. We have God's Spirit. Amen!

What needs to be done by Christians?

1) Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ

2) Feed the sheep the Word of God

3) Be in constant prayer and repent of our sins

4) Educate ourselves and others

5) Be informed and inform others

6) Take a stand - Stand up for righteousness

7) Be of good faith, courage, direction, and strength

Just as sin has no reign in a believer's body,
sin has no reign in a nation where God's Grace is upon it.
