The Fiscal Cliff Facade
Stand-OffBoth parties want the other to be at
republicans will not budge on increasing taxes on the wealthy, while
the democrats are not about to take any "STUFF" away from their
voter-base. Hence both parties have excuses to not do a thing.
--After all the 2016 campaign season has officially
having listened to Obama's post election speech on the economy, I
realized two obvious things. I will never get those fifteen minutes
of my life back, and there was nothing new said.

Both parties want the other to be at fault.
Both parties will most likely get what they
secretively want. And that is to end the Bush tax cuts and to end
the social security tax break.
And by keeping up this fiscal
cliff facade stand-off, both parties will be able to continue
to blame the other party for not budging, while both will get what
they want and be able to pretend to have tried to get
