Biblical Marriage - Tim and Me - Then and Now

I have been married for twenty-five years, and my husband knows that I have my own mind and am not one to be controled. However, he does keep watch to protect me.

He has always taken time to know every aspect of my life, including my activism and my small business. Tim is who I talk to about it all. He amazes me, the way he knows me.

He is for the most part a quiet man, but when he speaks, he says a lot. And when he holds me, I know I am safe, even from my own mistakes. He is my voice of reason and he never grows weary of me burying my head in his chest.

As a father, he never steps on my toes of mother-hood. He likes that I wear the skirt. He adores our daughters and is so very proud of them. And they know it too.

I remember how he was there for me when I was in the hospital five years ago. He not only took good care of me, but also of our daughters, and even my friends who called throughout the ordeal. Male and female, he treated them all great. A nurse told me how he got so nervous when they moved me and he could not find me for a short while in the hospital. He and my daughters were there with me every moment that they were allowed.

It is because of Tim's amazing ability to share me with others and to trust me, that has made it possible for me to help others and to do my activism work. He is a riot. When I talk about forming a country band, so that I can reach more people, he says he will take time off from work to travel with me. And ya know what? He would do just that. The following song is dedicated to my husband. He is not one to be in the limelight, but he belongs there.
