Biblical Marriage - Tim and Me
Tim and I were married on the first
day of spring in 1983. Tim knows that I have my own mind
and am not one to be controled. However, he does keep watch in
his own non-pushy way and always catches me when needed.
He has
always taken time to know every aspect of my life,
including my activism and my small business. Tim is who I
talk to about it all. He amazes me, the way he knows
me.
He
is for the most part a quiet man, but when he speaks, he
says a lot. And when he holds me, I know I am safe, even from
my own mistakes. He
is my voice of reason and he never grows weary of me burying my head
in his chest. He says he adores me, and I say that I
adore that he adores me. hehe
As a father, he never
steps on my toes of mother-hood. He likes that I wear the
skirt. He adores our daughters too.

I remember
how he was there for me when I was in the the hospital in
the spring of 2003. He not only took good care of me, but
also of our daughters, and even my friends who called throughout the
ordeal. Male and female, he treated them all great. A
nurse told me how he got so nervous when they moved me and he
could not find me for a short while in the hospital. He and my
daughters were there with me every moment that they were allowed.
It is because of Tim's amazing
ability to share me with others and to trust me, that has made it
possible for me to do my activism work.
