Batavia, NY School Demands Student

New
York’s Batavia City School District has done the unthinkable!
They are allowing a man who is going through a "gender
transition" to teach in their public school district. It is
being expected of students, staff members, and parents, to
accept this public school’s unethical decision.
Batavia’s
High School had a presentation that was nothing less than an
indoctrination of humanistic views of a condition that is
known to many as sin (but to the State of NY, a “disorder”).
The presentation has bully tactics and
is tainted with forced acceptance.
Opening
Day School Presentation
The
following, as of the date of this article, is found on
Batavia’s School Web site, which shows what students were
presented with on September 6 of this school
year:
This
presentation was prepared with the assistance of medical and
legal experts and will be presented to students by school
counselors on Wednesday, September
6th....] |
Isn't this what every parent
wants for their child?
Below
are some frames from the presentation (comments are
mine):
|
 Comment:
Notice - Impairment in social, occupational and other
roles.
(Impairment -- This statement admits that GID impairs a
person on their job, along with social and other roles. Also,
remember, this slide presentation was drawn up with legal
experts. This statement could also read as a
disclaimer. Such could absolve the school district from any
liability claims, should harm come to the
child.)
|
|
 Comment:
Notice - This slide is telling children that such is "not a
choice".
Christians, who follow the teachings of the Bible, see such as
a choice, a choice to sin. To teach this to children is
indoctrinate teachings that go against many faith-beliefs.
This frame could also scare children, by saying that
"Sensitive males and 'tomboy' girls do not
necessarily have GID." (The word 'necessarily,'
has implications of
otherwise.)
|
|
 Comment:
This frame admits that others have a problem with GID
gender transition. The
school district, no doubt, is aware of this. The fact that
they are having a presentation and counseling students proves
this.
|
|
 Comment:
Here comes the intimidation.
It is also misleading as well.
First
off, putting up on top in big bold letters "Zero Tolerance for
Harassment" implies there will be severe punishment if such
happens. (It is not a friendly environment for children to
live in, that which could be perceived as a threat.
I would not think it is easy for other staff members to work
in such an environment either.)
Second,
there are NO special laws against discrimination or
harassment of people with "disorders." The same laws that are
to protect them are to protect us all! The issue here is
what constitutes discrimination and what is
harassment? |
|
 Comment:
After the intimidation, come the demands-- this
slide has implications that THESE are rules that, if
broken, would be seen as discrimination and or
harassment. To me, this says, "If you want to
get along here, do as you're told, and you won't get into
legal trouble." Well, fact is, there are no laws saying
we have to respect "medical conditions." There are no laws
saying we have to call someone "Ms., her, or she," at all,
much less if the person was born male.
It is amazing that
after all of this, students are being told that the focus in
the school is the learning and the development of "good
character."
Here
is where counselors are offered to assist the children. Isn't
this nice? A parent could send a mentally, socially, and
emotionally stable child to school, and the child could end up
needing counseling because of the school itself! And the
school knows it. But remember, they do have what could be seen
as a disclaimer. (What a nice way to educate children in
America!) |

According
to the Associated Press (Click
Here), Batavia’s superintendent, Richard
Stutzman is quoted as saying, “The kids are my biggest concern
right now. I want to make sure that we truly address the needs
of our students.”
Now,
I ask you...Does it look from the presentation, that Mr.
Stutzman's biggest concern has anything at all to do with the
children's
needs?
Mr.
Stutzman, in reference to a September 6th scheduled
meeting for anyone to attended, said, "What we're asking
people to do is come to the meetings to learn more about it."
(The meeting did not take place.)
A
Pastor and a
Parent
Pastor
Donald A. Shirk, of Batavia's Grace Baptist Church, wrote an
excellent article. In the article, which appeared in
Batavia's city paper, The Daily News, dated August 2,
2006, Pastor Shirk addresses the fact that there are no
medical tests that prove a person has, what is being called a
medical condition, GID. He points out that a doctor who
was present to answer parent questions at a previous meeting
said, "there are no lab tests that prove it."
Pastor
Shirk said, "It is appalling to think that this 'GID Mandate'
insists that minors must assist this teacher in his
treatment..." On the issue of having the students refer to the
male teacher as Ms., her, or she, Pastor Shirk said "To insist
even on a seemingly legal basis that this must occur is not
only asking the students to be intellectually dishonest, but
forces many of them to make a serious breech of moral
conscience."
The
pastor's article, appropriately titled, "Transgender Issue
Lost In Emotion of Tolerance," states that parents in the
previous meeting "were instructed in the seriousness and inner
turmoil that results from this disorder." He points out that
the teacher functioned normally for years as a man, husband,
father, and teacher, and now "suddenly wants to change the
rules about his physiological make-up."
The
article closes with a thought provoker that all American's
need to ask of such a situation, "...if he has this specific
"disability," then perhaps teaching minors is no longer a
prudent choice of profession."
I
believe that says it all. But, I will add one more thing. And
that is--are
Batavia schools there to give a teacher a job, or are they
there to teach the children? Where should their priorities
lie?

Institute (CFI) - www.cultureandfamily.org
Martha
Kleder and Bob Knight have stepped forward and are
taking on this issue. They recently allowed me to be
part of an online public news alert on
CWA. —

Batavia residents
who have held back can now with confidence
join those who have already spoken out. The presentation
on the school's site would scare most people; now it
is clear that they are not alone. CWA and CFI, along
with other organizations (ACLJ, AFA, and FLN) and
people all across America, being lead by
people right from within the Batavia community are
coming together for the children.

What
you can do:
If
you wish to help, please let your
thoughts on the issue be known to Batavia
Schools.
Batavia’s
City School District Superintendent Richard Stutzman:
(585) 343 - 2480 ext. 1000
NYS
Commissioner Mills, who once made the statement that he
is responsible for all New Yorkers, from the cradle to
the grave, needs to be asked why this is happening in
the state in which he is responsible for the public
school education.
NYS
Department of Education Commissioner Mills: (518)
474-3852
If
you live in Batavia, NY and have a child in this man's
class, consider scheduling an appointment to meet with
the teacher and ask him why he does not just
leave. This issue would be on going, every
year that the teacher works there. How many children
will have to be subjected to this?
Also,
some of the people involved in this issue can be voted
out of their positions.
Please
Note: At the time of writing this article, the name of
the teacher is unknown to me, which is what I prefer.
The issue is not about him personally, but the
situation itself.
