Out With The First Amendment - Romney Condemns Anti-Mormonism

Romney has gone on record as having called people of faith-beliefs that are not all-inclusive, bigots. This latest attack on the first amendment by Romney is due to the evangelical megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress, who introduced Governor Rick Perry in a recent GOP event. The pastor has come under a lot of scrutiny from the press, as well. But the fact is, from a true evangelical point of view and point of faith, the Mormon Church is “a cult” and “Mormonism is not Christianity.”

But then again, so is the Roman Catholic Church (RCC), a cult and not true Christianity. --This is not to say that there are not some or many people who call themselves "Catholic" who are true Christians, despite what the RCC teaches (many people have no idea what the RCC is really all about). Could there be some people who call themselves "Mormon" who are true Christians? I suppose. But I think it would be far less, if any.

The difference between the Mormon cult and the Catholic cult is that most Catholics are speaking of the true God, the true Jesus Christ. Whereas the Mormon's speak of a different god and a different "Jesus."

The RCC does not teach a true gospel, salvation in Christ alone; it adds to the gospel. The Mormon Church totally changes things, with a different message of men attaining a god-position and women getting to be wives to those "gods." --If nothing else, I have a problem with voting for a man who is foolish enough to believe such and or to attend a church that teaches such. I want a wise godly man in office, not a fool.

We all have a right to vote our conscience.  And the fact that Romney would discourage such, calling such "bigotry" and condemning it, shows just one more reason that he is not a true American at heart. A true American at heart should encourage people to vote with consciences, faith-beliefs, etc. This is America. How dare a presidential candidate seek to shame people from practicing their faith-belief. Perhaps he would just like to totally get rid of that pesky first amendment.

Romney would be sworn to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution, yet he is already blasting the practice of one's own religion, if that religion does not see his religion as true Christianity. He is not the man for us.
