07/07/2010 - Another Decade Will Have Gone

Next Week When I Turn Fifty
Next week
when I turn fifty,
I'll be ten years older than the day
before.
I'll
be way smarter, seasoned and witty.
I'll be greatly
matured and a whole lot more.
I'll be loved for the
content of my mind.
I'll be
cherished, looked up to and adored.
I'll be
sweeter, nicer and oh so kind,
I'll be a gentler, calmer,
child of the Lord.
I'll be
more realistic and embracing of what life has to
offer me.
I'll be smiling in the face of any
defeat and never keep my score.
I'll be willing to accept
that if all these things, I find that I
cannot be,
I'll be just fine with being the
person who I was the
day before.
