Bob Etheridge (D-NC) Gets Abusive With
Student
Washington,
DC, Jun 14 - U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) got physically
abusive with a student in his district. The student appears to
simply be asking Congressman Etheridge if he supports Obama's
agenda, when the congressman basically goes all wierd on him. The
video to the right shows it all.
I spoke with the
congressman's office and was told that he had issued the
following statement on his website. “I have seen the video
posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my
reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many
years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always
tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter
how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not
justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to
promote a civil public discourse.” --Well, seriously, what could he
say!
