Would Texas Governor Rick Perry Make A Good President?

I am going to step out on a limb here and say that, at this time, I feel that Perry would be a good run. --And that's about as far as I am willing to go at this time.

To my knowledge, Perry has been a good governor for the most of his time in office, even willing to admit when he was wrong.

Soon after getting into office, Perry issued a state order, saying that all girls by or after the 6th grade level of schooling, be given the Gardasil vaccine. He came under huge back-lash from conservative Texans and undid his wrong. Ever since, he has behaved as a true conservative governor. His major fight has been to secure the borders.

Last presidential election, I learned my lesson about being too quick to put my support behind someone. So this time, I will be taking it slowly. I will watch, listen and learn a lot more about a person, before fully throwing my support behind anyone. That's if I do at all.
