Students of Mexican Heritage Gone Wild
The
incident happened four years ago in March of 2006. However the
school just released a press release this month on May 5,
2010. The school, Montebello High School in California, came
under attack by 800 to 1000 Mexican Heritage students. The
students were protesting proposed federal immigration
policies.
Though the neighboring town's newspaper, made
it look as if the students protesting were Montebello students,
they were actually from two other towns. The protesters were so out
of control, that the school had to go on lock-down in order to
protect its own students.
The protesters went as far as to
replace the American flag on the school flagpole with a Mexican flag
and the California flag with an upside down American
flag.
