Marvel not that Jesus said, "Ye must
be born again to enter the Kingdom of
God."
To
my brothers and sisters in Christ:
Scripture tells us, "faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen."
What Is
HOPE: One
definition of the word, "hope," is tolookforwardtowithconfidenceorexpectation. Biblically, hope is
just that, something that we can look forward to
with confidence and expect that such will come to
be. It is not a wish, it is what we can
and should count on.
It is written
that "Hope
deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the
desire cometh, it is a tree of life." Let's not
defer our hope, put it off or give it up. Why give
up the very thing that gives us joy in our Lord,
hope?
We are told to think it not strange
concerning the fiery trials that are
to try us, "as though some strange thing
happened" to us. Our trials are to try us,
make us stronger in the Lord.
We are to be
storing up our treasures in heaven. Those
treasures take great strength here on earth to
obtain. Just as a trying of our physical body
in a course of physical exercise can try
our muscles that get stronger when we rest,
so too does our spirits get tried. And they
too heal and get stronger when we rest in Jesus
Christ, in His Word.
David said, "I have been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread." Our righteousness is
Jesus Christ in us. We are righteous because of
Him. And we will not be forsaken. Our needs will
be met in Christ. He will supply all of our
needs.
One of our greatest needs is wisdom,
we need to know what to do in our trials, as well
as in our regular daily lives. It is written,
If any lack wisdom, we are
to "ask of God."
Jesus said, "The
thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more
abundantly."
It is by the word of God that
we get our faith, and it is faith that God wants
from us when we go to Him in prayer, requesting
anything of Him.
God says, "Be still and
know that I am God."
Jesus gave one sign of
proof that He is who He said He is. He said,
"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will
raise it up."
We who are God's, confess
with our mouths the Lord Jesus,
and we believe in our hearts that God
raised him from the dead. Jesus is Lord God. He
raised the temple, His body. And He
is who gave us life and raises us up every
day of our lives, up above all that this life
throws at us. And one day, He will raise us
up to be with Him.
We have this hope
because He is risen. He is alive.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.
Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred
maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is
a tree of life.
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it
not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try
you, as though some strange thing happened unto
you:
John 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent
me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life.

Chronicles
7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall
humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn
from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their
land.
Psalm
37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not
seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging
bread.
James
1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it
shall be given him.
John
10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
James
1:6 - 8 But let him ask in faith, nothing
wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed. For
let not that man think that he shall receive any thing
of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his
ways.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am
God."
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto
them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will
raise it up.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be
saved.
