Questioned about the health care bill -
Constitution Doesn't Matter To IL Rep. Phil Hare

When questioned about the constitutionality of the health care bill, Illinois Democrat Congressman Phil Hare said that the constitution does not matter to him. And he said that he believes it says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. --How interesting that these words matter to the democrats for health care, but they mean nothing to most of them, when it comes to the unborn.

Of course those words are in the Declaration of Independence, which I do believe are upheld by the U.S. Constitution. However a right to life does not mean that our government has the power to force socialized medicine on us. I guess the democrats in office, feel that we have freedom of choice for our bodies, but not our wallets and budgets.

When the congressman was pushed to tell where the Constitution gives the power for the bill, he admitted that he does not know
