I Will Not Be Afraid
-- I Will Not Be Scared of The 2012
Election
It
will be God who heals this land, not a
politician.
Looking
at our choices for the 2012 election, I cannot help but wonder if
the Lord is giving yet another opportunity for His children to cry
"uncle" and admit that He is who is needed to heal this land, that
we cannot do it ourselves.
Americans
on all sides are looking for the perfect candidate to solve the
problems with our nation. While there is no perfect candidate, there
certainly should be better than the choices that we are being given.
But there is only one perfect One, and He is God.
As we see
in Romans 13, a true leader is one who is a minister of the Lord, a
true biblical believer. We clearly are out of "luck" this time,
so-to-say, as I do not believe in luck. But nonetheless, it is just
not going to happen this time. So here we are, facing another four
years of having no true leader in our country.
We can fear
this time, or we can embrace it as a time that the Lord will still
use for our good and His glory. Scripture says that God brings good
out of everything. Some how, some way, God is going to use this for
the better. Perhaps He will use this to get more of His children to
see that our hope lies in the Lord, not in man.
Think about
it like this. If God wants us to go to Him for our needs and
acknowledge Him in all things, it does not stand to reason that He
will give us a true leader, if the outcome of such would be idolatry
of that leader. God is in charge, no matter what, whether man wants
to admit it or not. And God will always take care of His own. So I
am not
scared.
