Huffington Post: Pope John Paul used a process called flagellation to emulate the pain and suffering of Jesus Christ, says a new book.

Commentary: Catholicism is NOT biblical.

Though I do believe that many of my born again Christian brothers and sisters are still in the Catholic church, despite its unbiblical teachings, the religion is not of the Lord.

Along with many other practices of the Catholic church, flagellation is NOT biblical. Jesus died for sins, all sins. Jesus is the way, the only way.

Scripture says that the only way to the Father is through the Son, not by any other means, not Mary, not prayers to saints, not money to the catholic church, not the catholic church, and certainly NOT beating one self (flagellation.)

For the record, TRUE saints are made by the Lord, not a man-made religion. Scripture shows all true born again believers, members of the TRUE church that is made up of all true born again believers, are the saints of the Lord.
